Allow me to
introduce myself…
As the face and the inspiration behind Confident Smiles,
I thought you might like to know a little more about
me and how I got here!
I have been involved in cosmetic dentistry for many
years and to me, it is one of the most exciting and
rewarding aspects of being a dentist. I’ll never
tire of seeing how happy patients look when they’ve
achieved their perfect smile, and it’s great to
think that what I do can actually help someone grow
in confidence or smile for the first time with their
teeth on show.
I qualified in 1988 from Guys Hospital Dental School
in London and went on to work there in the Department
of Oral Medicine. Since then I’ve worked in general
practice which means I’ve had a great deal of
experience in many different areas of dentistry, treating
patients from every walk of life.
Although I now have my own practice dedicated to aesthetic
dentistry, I still believe very much in learning and
regularly attend courses in the UK and abroad, which
in turn, enables me to offer my patients the very best
products and techniques. In addition I teach at St Thomas
Hospital in London and belong to the Association of
Dental Implantology, the British Society of Restorative
Dentistry, the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
and the American Academy of Functional Orthodontics,
as well as being an examiner for the National Examining
Board for Dental Nurses.
I have a particular interest in orthodontics for adults
and children, crowns, bridges and veneers,
the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders and
helping nervous or phobic
patients receive the treatment they need. For instance,
if you’re particularly anxious about visiting
the dentist I can offer you the latest sedation techniques
helping you conquer your fears, when you’re ready
to, at your own pace. If you’re a parent, you
may also be pleased to know I have two boys so I fully
understand how important your children’s teeth
are to you, and how difficult it can be to make sure
they clean their teeth properly and avoid eating too
many sweets!
I hope you feel as if you know me a little better now,
but if there’s anything further you would like
to ask please feel free to contact me here at the practice. |
