Whitening
Time, smoking, tea, coffee and red wine are just
a few of the things that can cause your teeth to yellow
and discolour. Whitening gently removes stains leaving
your teeth cleaner and brighter.
Whitening can be done in the surgery, where a gel is
placed directly on to the teeth and activated with a
special light, lightening teeth by five to 10 shades.
Or if you prefer, whitening can be done at home with
custom made flexible trays and gel. Whiter teeth can
take years off your appearance and the effects can last
up to five years so it’s a great way to brighten
up your smile and give your confidence a boost.
Orthodontics (Teeth Straightening)
Thanks to a range of innovative new techniques, no-one,
adult or child, need put up with crooked teeth and an
uneven smile anymore. In the past, we have often associated
braces with children, but today, age need not be a barrier
to this type of treatment. Depending on the problem,
treatment can be appropriate from as young as six years
old, whilst we have several patients in their fifties
who are delighted with their recent treatment.
Recent advances in this field mean that adults as well
as children can benefit from removable or fixed braces
or a combination of the two. Best of all, many straightening
techniques are now very discreet or ‘invisible’
so you won’t have to worry about your braces being
too noticeable..
'Invisible' Braces
Invisalign® is a special orthodontic technique available
at the Courtyard Clinic to give you the beautiful straight
teeth you've always wanted. Invisalign® is proving
very popular with both adults and teenagers, and uses
a series of transparent, removable, comfortable aligners
that no one can tell you're wearing – so you can
smile during treatment as well as after!
